Iron Horses eighteen distinctive holes of golf are a wonder of their own. The beautiful bluegrass fairways weave through a forest of Fir and Tamarack trees, and distant views of mountain ranges and Whitefish Lake provide a dramatic backdrop for nearly every hole.
Five-time National Golf Course Architect of the Year, Tom Fazio, views Iron Horse as one of his finest creations yet: "Iron Horse may just be the last best place for mountain golf in the Rockies" thanks in part to the rolling terrain and majestic surroundings in which it rests.
The 7,028-yard, par 71course features four tee boxes per hole ensuring a playable yet challenging outing for golfers of all abilities. Residences are a respectful distance from the course and golfers have the option to walk with or without a caddy. As a private equity club, the course is open only to members and their guests usually rendering tee times unnecessary. Two comfort stations stocked with beverages and snacks are located on the course.
